Katie's 2nd Birthday!

Katie was so excited to blow out her birthday candle that she forgot to wait for the birthday song!Diego was less excited but did just fine.

Can I be the birthday girl everyday? Katie just loved all the attention! She probably wouldn't mind a Farrells birthday party.

Thanks for the Dora and Blue's Clues books! Katie loves to bring them to us to read and read them on her own!

little Mommy

Katie finds every chance she can to help with the mommy duties. She actually is very helpful at times (getting the diaper bag and throwing away dirty diapers). Other times she is just pretending (with the bottle Katie makes the sucking noises she uses when 'feeding' her dolls). Sometimes she tries her best and Diego just won't cooperate (trying to give him a pacifier - we all have trouble with that one). Her attitude about being a new big sister is GREAT all the time. Hopefully we can manage to keep it that way!! Now if we could just get her to keep her own clothes on!

Katie loves to take her clothes off throughout the day. During her nap she took her pants off and attempted to put them back on...inside out and halfway up!Diego in his favorite state - asleep in someone's arms .

Diego Patrick Garcia

"Oh! The baby!"
Baby Diego..... Finally getting to hold him! Katie loves to rock Diego in his chair to help him stop crying.

Diego Patrick Garcia was born on Thursday, Dec. 28th @ 7:43pm.
He weighed 8 lbs. and 11 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long!!
We are very excited to have him finally here. Katie is loving being a big sister. She was very excited to meet him and likes to check on him and rub his back. Every once in a while she will stop her playing and come ask "hug him?" She loves her "baby Eggo". I have tried to give her some one on one attention a few times but she usually asks for the baby. I would say she is adjusting very well. The next step will be moving to the big bed and then after a while letting Eggo move in to her old crib. Diego had a lot of baby rash at first but is clearing up pretty good now. I will put more pictures up soon.

Christmas

Katie loved opening presents on Christmas. Of course Blen helped teach her how to show true excitement!!
